Extending Runtime Without Compromising Output
At Carbon8 Lighting, we're always looking for ways to give our customers more flexibility on set, on location, and in the field. Our T3 light range was designed to deliver full, uncompromised output, but until now, runtime on battery power has always been the limiting factor for fully wireless setups.
To find out just how far that runtime could be pushed, we ran a dedicated test pairing the T3 with a portable power station and specifically the Instagrid GO 110V battery pack. The goal was simple, run the T3 at 100% output and measure exactly how many hours of continuous use we could get from a single charge.
The Test
We connected the T3 to an Instagrid GO and ran the light continuously at 100% brightness until the battery was fully depleted, logging runtime and performance throughout. The results below show exactly what that combination is capable of:

While this test was carried out with an Instagrid GO, the T3 range is designed to be power agnostic. It pairs with a wide range of portable battery packs and power stations on the market, giving users the freedom to choose the power solution that best fits their workflow, budget, and existing kit.
That said, the results we saw with an Instagrid unit highlight just how effective a well-matched pairing can be. Combining Carbon8's efficient T3 output with Instagrid's portable power to deliver serious runtime without sacrificing brightness.
